IABLE Medical Student and Resident Physician Curriculum Development Day
Friday, December 12th, 2025
8:45am – 5:00pm CST
Overview of Medical Student & Resident Curriculum Development Day
This webinar is all about educating our future physicians and healthcare providers!
Join us to learn about breastfeeding medicine curricula development for medical students, residents, and other health professional students. We will cover the basics of developing a curriculum including schedules, learning objectives, activities, and resources. This day will include submissions from colleagues who have been doing this work at their healthcare systems or institutions.
Submitting Presentations
IABLE invites submissions from physicians and other health professionals who participate in breastfeeding and lactation medicine curricula development or execution to share their work by providing a presentation on their teaching curriculum. The teaching curriculum may be pre-clinical, clinical, didactic, blended, public health, or other. Presentations should include information on schedules, teaching resources, opportunities, and barriers. We will prioritize presentations that include curriculum evaluation.
We will accept 6 submissions. Presenters will have 15-20 min to present their program, followed by 10-15 min of questions and discussion, for 30 minutes total.
➡ The deadline for submission is Friday, August 29th, 2025
➡ Date of notification for acceptance is Friday, September 19th, 2025
Please submit your presentation HERE.

Tips for Using Zoom
Zoom is a very common technology and is typically not a problem for people to use. In order to take full advantage of Zoom's capabilities, please use the Zoom app (client) on your computer or mobile device, not your web browser.
Follow these instructions when you open the meeting link:
If you have never used Zoom on your computer, you can ensure it is setup by clicking on the meeting link above. In your browser, choose "download and run Zoom" to begin the installation of Zoom onto your computer. Then follow the prompts from the Zoom installer to complete the installation.
After the install is complete, Zoom will try to launch the meeting, but you will not be able to enter the meeting room. But if Zoom is installed correctly you will see a message indicating that you can participate in a meeting.
Please Note
IABLE is a small organization. We strive to present high quality, affordable programming and we have hundreds of people attending our events. Generally, we have systems in place to provide the necessary program resources (lecture notes, links to recordings, details on how to obtain your credits, etc.) via email, user dashboard, or an event page. Thank you for understanding that we are not able to respond to inquiries asking about resources which have already been provided.
Please allow 3 days before inquiring about credits, recordings, or other post-event resources.
